If you want to be able to browse the system files and folders of you iPhone, on your iPhone without the need to connect via your computer, iFile is the app for you.
The jailbreak app let's you browse and manage files directly on your idevice including copy, paste, cut, delete and open or edit most files. It functions both as a file manager and a file viewer which runs as a root user. Other features of iFile including creating and extracting zip files as well as having a built in music player. You can also set permissions for individual files or folders as well as other attributes. You can even install debian packages directly, bookmark files and folders and upload and download files from the built in web server!
iFile is shareware and for full functionality, registration is required for USD4.00. This enables extra features such as file name search, external viewer support, playlists for the audio player, text editor search functionality and sending of files via Bluetooth to iFile on other devices. However, if you decide not to register, you still have the basic file manager and viewer functionality.
For iPhone 4 users, iFile even has a nice hi res icon for your retina display.
