iPhone Apps - CyDelete

Something that you may soon discover after installing jailbreak apps from Cydia or any other jailbreak app directory, is that when it comes to uninstalling said apps, you'll need to launch Cydia and manually uninstall the package. This may not be a big deal when uninstalling one application infrequently but if you've just jailbroken your idevice, trying out the newly found plethora of apps is going to get a bit tedious if you have to launch Cydia, install the app then re-launch Cydia to uninstall again.

If you want to be able to delete apps directly off your Springboard, just like Apple App store apps, then CyDelete is definitely the app for you.

To delete an app, just hold down on the icon until all icons start their familiar wiggle, then tap on the X on the Cydia app that you want to uninstall and hey presto. The dev has also written in a settings page where you can protect Cydia from being deleted. This is important since deleting Cydia and any other Graphical Interface that you have for installing packages will leave you a bit stuck and is not recommended. The 'protect' button defaults to 'ON'.

Reinstalling the app is just a case of re-downloading in Cydia.
