Ultrasn0w Updated to Improve Battery Life

A week after its release, Ultrasn0w 1.0-1 has reportedly been used already by more than 750,000 iPhone users. Ultrasn0w is the first software solution for unlocking Apple’s iPhone 4.

However, several users who have used Ultrasn0w 1.0-1 to unlock their iPhone 4s reportedly experienced a sudden decrease in their iPhone battery life even if it’s on standby mode.

The iPhone dev Team was quick enough to address the problem and has updated the version of Ultrasn0w to version 1.1-1 in order to improve standby battery life.

The upgrade is available via Cydia for iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 users to unlock iPhones on iOS 4 or iOS 4.0.1, even iPhone OS 3.0.

Here’s the procedure you need to follow in order to unlock your iPhones using Ultrasn0w 1.1-1:

1. Launch Cydia

2. Add the repo: repo666.ultrasn0w.com to Cydia.

3. Search for ‘ultrasn0w’ in Cydia and install ultrasn0w. After installation, your iPhone should be unlocked by now.

4. For T-Mobile USA users, disable 3G before using ultrasn0w.

5. After installing Ultrasn0w, launch Cydia and tap on changes to install the updated version.
