iPhone Dev Team Releases New Ultrasn0w Version

Apple’s iPhone Dev Team has finally released the latest version of Ultrasn0w. Ultrasn0w 1.0-1 can unlock iPhone units under different basebands.

Ultrasn0w can unlock:

1. iPhone 4 running iOS 4.0 / 4.0.1 with 01.59.00 baseband
2. iPhone 3G, 3GS with 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01 or 05.13.04 baseband

If you are uncertain about your iPhone’s baseband, you can check it out by going to Settings > General > About > Modem Firmware.

After verifying your baseband, be sure that your iPhone has already been jailbroken with JailbreakMe 2.0. After jailbreaking your phone, you may now proceed with unlocking your phone through the following step-by-step procedure:

1. Launch Cydia on your jailbroken iPhone.
2. Click on the Manage tab.
3. Click on Sources section.
4. Click on Edit button.
5. Click on Add button.
6. Enter http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com as Cydia/APT URL.
7. Click on Add Source button.
8. Cydia will now automatically update your sources by following a series of automated steps.
9. Click on the Search tab at the bottom and search for ultrasn0w 1.0-1.
10. Install Ultrasn0w.
11. Restart your iPhone.

That’s it, your iPhone is unlocked and you are now free to choose the phone carrier you want!
